Had some very nice vegetarian sushi here as well as the teriyaki tofu. Everything came out super quickly and the service was excellent!

Sushi is always top notch here! Love their seaweed salads and soups too! It's always busy because it's soooo good. There is ample seating so it doesn't take too long if there is a wait. We've sat at the sushi bar and in the restaurant. At the bar it's fun to watch them create the rolls!

The service was great!! They have plenty of seating. I tried the steak hibachi and it was good. It didn't have the traditional taste of hibachi but the steak was very tender and tasted great. They didn't have yum yum sauce like most places I have tried in the past. Over all it was a great experience and I would definitely return.

Great sushi and polite fast service. I wasn't expecting much from a sushi restaurant in Steven's Point WI but Matsu Ya really delivered. Low prices for quality sushi and a huge menu to choose from. I'll be back when I'm in town again!

Best sushi in town! Went about 2-3x a week while I was visiting the area, hah! But it was just THAT good and for a good price! Staff were all friendly!

Thank goodness we have Matsu Ya here in Stevens Point. I was getting a bit weary about finding good Japanese/Asian food in town because I was quite disappointed by some nearby competitors, but Matsu Ya is probably one of the best there is here. I honestly cannot comment on this sushi since all I've tried here is their California rolls, but their kitchen entree menu items are really good! Prices are also great, especially their lunch specials. Service has also been super swift and efficient. I only have ordered takeout at Matsu Ya, and they've developed an easy pickup system at the side of the restaurant. Maybe one day, I'll muster of the courage to try their sushi (I'm picky about sushi so not sure when that will be) but I know where to go to for my Japanese food fix!

This was the best place for sushi in central Wisconsin and the recent pandemic hasn't changed anything. Inventive and innovative but great at all the classics. Their tempura is great too. Ate there recently after mainly ordering carry out for the last two years. As good as always.

Remember...this is central Wisconsin! This has been the new best sushi since coming here from Seattle last year. The restaurant overall is pleasant, clean and has a great friendly atmosphere. The staff was friendly and extremely attentive. The menu has a wide range of sushi choices and great descriptions of the rolls. Again, remember this is the Midwest and crab is most likely imitation. That seems to be the norm so we have been learning to go with the flow! We did 3 rolls and all 3 were excellent. Very tasty...delicious! We also did a teriyaki chicken that was outstanding. The vegetables were extremely delicious. We will be going back again soon!
